on their February 7, 2012 trip to the White House where they participated in the
White House Science Fair and met President Obama!

U.S. DOE National Blue Ribbon School and Indiana Four-Star School!
Otwell Elementary School received it's official National Blue Ribbon Award at ceremonies in
Washington, D.C. on Monday, November 14, 2011. Principal Rick Fears and Second Grade Teacher Terra Knust
were the school's official representatives at the conference. OES was one of only 305 schools nationwide out of 130,000
schools in the U.S. to receive this prestigious award, a first for any Pike County school.

The Pike County School Corporation
Central Administrative Office is located at 907 Walnut
Street in Petersburg,
Indiana. Offices for the superintendent, assistant superintendent for
instruction, the corporation's treasurer, and the director of support services
are housed in this complex. Board meetings are held here, too, on the
first Monday of every month at 7:00 p.m. Please feel welcome to join us for one of
these important meetings!

PCHS's 2010 graduation rate ranks 13th out of 32 high schools in Southwest Indiana ... and in the top third of the state for 2010!
Pike Central High School's Spring 2010 Algebra 1 & English 10 ECA scores were higher than state average!
Otwell, Winslow, Petersburg & Pike Central Middle schools earned 2010 "exemplary" school state accountability ratings!
Otwell, Winslow, Petersburg & Pike Central Middle schools & the PCSC all made 2010 federal NCLB "AYP" status.
The Indiana Dept. of Education has asked OES to submit an application to become a National Blue-Ribbon School!
