On March 1st, the Fire and Rescue class conducted search and rescue operations at the Patoka Township Fire Department's training building. Students conducted simulated conditions with no lighting and using a smoke machine. There are various rooms and scenarios that were set up to search for a victim. Students searched with and without a thermal imaging camera. Great job to the students who participated!

On February 3rd, the students competed in the SkillsUSA Regional competition at VU. Austin Henson, Cam Case and Andy Bieker took the top 3 places in manual machining. Isaac Shimer took 3rd place in the CNC milling. All four students received scholarships to VU and have advanced to the State competition on April 20th.
Last Saturday, three students competed in the INTMA competition at Ivy Tech in Indianapolis. Austin Henson placed third in the manual machining portion. There were 23 other students competing in the manual machining. Austin won a nother scholarship to VU along with a machinist toolbox and machinists tools.
Congratulations to all.

A big shoutout to Albert Whitehead and Tyler Collins from Mr. Vaal's IED class. We had one of the dividers on a charging station in a classroom break. Mr. Vaal had the students measure all of the dimensions with calipers and build the piece using their CAD(Computer-aided design) program. Then they printed it out on the 3-D printer. Adjustments had to be made, but they were able to give us a working piece today. Love when our students get a chance to solve real world problems using the skills they learn in their classes. Great job! #ChargerPride

A big THANK YOU to Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center for the donation of the Stop the Bleed kits to PCSC. MHHCC has provided Stop the Bleed Kits for every PCSC classroom, every administrative office, every nurse's office, and for athletics. These kits contain a SWAT-T Tourniquet, ace wrap, gauze, trauma shears, and gloves. Memorial Hospital staff will be on site on April 5 at 2:00 for staff education on the kits.
